Ten years ago, in the 2015-16 season, the Golden State Warriors were historically great. They set the NBA record for regular-season wins with a 73-9 record, breaking the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls' mark of 72-10. Stephen Curry won his second consecutive MVP award that year, becoming the first unanimous MVP in league history.

Fast forward a decade, and the Warriors have exited the NBA season in the play-in. The Phoenix Suns defeated Golden State 111-94 in the final play-in game, claiming the 8th seed in the West and eliminating the Warriors.

Steve Kerr, Draymond Green, and Steph Curry shared a moment before the final buzzer. The question largely centers on whether Kerr will return for a 13th season in the Bay Area; Curry and Green both share the possibility of retirement.  Curry, 38, and Green, 36, are both likely to return for another season. Curry is under contract through 2026-27 on a $62.6 million extension, while Green holds a $27.7 million player option for that same season.

The trio was once a part of the Warriors dynasty that led to 4 of Steve Kerr’s 9 NBA titles. Together they've won 4 NBA championships (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022) and 6 Western Conference titles (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022).
