The 2026 NFL Draft will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, April 25.

Every year, the draft represents not only a new crop of professional football players entering the league with the hopes of fulfilling their dreams, but also the chance for franchises to reset and build toward the future.
The general draft order is pretty set and easy to figure out, as it is just the inverse of the previous year's final standings. With teams able to trade picks three years out, the NFL draft order ends up being radically different from its initial order. Plus, you add in the NFL adding in compensatory picks for free agency moves and coaching/front office hires and the draft order can be tough to keep track of.

There will be a total of 257 picks made in the 2026 NFL Draft, thanks to the addition of all the compensatory picks that needed to be sorted. Comp picks are determined based on teams losing free agents in the prior offseason, as well as certain qualifiers regarding minority coaches or front office executives hired by other franchises.
This draft order is by no means set in stone. The final pick in the draft can be traded even when the team on the clock has it, so the entire order could look very different at the end of the draft.
