While things aren't going too badly, they need to improve the offense, and could use some better production from their bullpen as well.
Fortunately, the Guardians got some great news on both spots, with outfielder George Valera and reliever Hunter Gaddis both being activated off the injured list in a pair of fun roster moves announced by @GuardsInsider on Twitter/x.
Guardians make fun George Valera, Hunter Gaddis roster moves
"OF George Valera, activated from 10-day injured list. RHP Hunter Gaddis, activated from 150day injured list," the Guardians announced. "1B/OF CJ Kafus, optioned to Columbus (AAA). LHP Kolby Allard designated for assignment."
Valera is a very fun activation, as the former Guardians' top prospect looked solid last year in his big league debut. spanning 16 games, as he hit .220 with two homers and a .748 OPS.
He was also great in the postseason, with a 1.143 OPS in seven at-bats thanks to a double and a homer during the Detroit Tigers' Wild Card series.
Also being activated in this roster move from the Guardians is Gaddis, the veteran righty reliever. The 28-year-old has a 3.40 ERA in his career, and posted a 3.11 ERA in 73 games last season, and a ridiculous 1.57 ERA in 78 games the year before.

Both are being activated to the Major League roster, and to make room in the lineup and the bullpen, the Guardians are optioning CJ Kafus to the minor leagues and designating for assignment lefty long reliever Kolby Allard.
This season, Allard posted a 10.38 ERA with nine strikeouts in 8.2 innings of work. This came after an impressive 2025 season in which he pitched in 33 games with a 2.63 ERA across 65 innings pitched.
Kafus, before being sent down in this roster move, was hitting .182 with one home run and two RBIs across nine games played and 22 total at-bats.
These are some fun roster moves for the Guardians, as the activation of Valera and Gaddis helps get the Guardians closer to full-strength this season.
