Nebraska baseball evens series with No. 21 Oregon in 10-8 victory

Nebraska baseball (27-8, 12-2) battled No. 21 Oregon (25-10, 9-5) in game two of the top 25 series on Saturday. The Huskers evened the series, taking down the Ducks 10-8.

Nebraska trailed 5-0 in the third, but quickly erased the deficit in the fourth, scoring six runs to take the lead. The Huskers stayed in front for the rest of the day, finishing the game with 15 hits. Every starter in Nebraska's lineup finished with a hit.

Case Sanderson led the Huskers, batting 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs. Dylan Carey also struck a home run, sending a solo shot in the fourth to finish 2-for-5. Joshua Overbeek rounded out Nebraska's home-run crew, blasting a two-run hit. Jett Buck finished 3-for-4 with a double. Mac Moyer batted 2-for-6 with a triple. Rhett Stokes and Max Buettenback each added a hit and an RBI.

Oregon tallied eight runs on 11 hits. Caleb Clark (2-2) earned the win in 1.1 innings of relief. Carson Jasa started the game and pitched 3.2 innings. He struck out four batters against six hits, five runs and four walks. J’Shawn Unger earned his seventh save of the season after tossing the final two innings and surrendering one run.

Nebraska concludes the series on Sunday afternoon. The first pitch is set for 2 p.m. CT on B1G+.
