Top 10 most popular picks for the Steelers in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft
· Yahoo Sports
Thanks to a huge offseason series of moves, the Pittsburgh Steelers head into the 2026 NFL draft in great shape in the first round. But who will the Steelers first-round pick be? There are going to be lots of options, but we wondered who the general public thinks the Steelers will take. The folks over the Pro Football and Sports Network have crunched the numbers based on their mock draft simulator and the thousands upon thousands of mock drafts created.

Special thanks to the folks at PFSN for sending these number over and here are our thoughts on the picks:
Pittsburgh Steelers (21st overall pick)
- Olaivavega Ioane 26.5%
- Omar Cooper Jr. 12.3%
- KC Concepcion 6.8%
- Ty Simpson 5.9%
- Makai Lemon 4.7%
- Kadyn Proctor 4.6%
- Spencer Fano 4.3%
- CJ Allen 3.4%
- Kayden McDonald 2.9%
- Kenyon Sadiq 2.7%
If we were ranking our top five from this list, it would be Vega, Fano, Cooper, Sadiq and Lemon. There would be a significant gap between those five and the next five, with several players on this list we have no interest in at all in the first round. The most interesting name on the list is Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson. After listening to ownership, head coach Mike McCarthy and local beat writers, it feels like it's going to be Aaron Rodgers and Will Howard at the top of the depth chart, which would mean no early pick on any quarterback.
