Syracuse's leading scorer enters transfer portal
· Yahoo Sports
There's a distinct possibility that new Syracuse head coach Gerry McNamara may have to find a replacement for the Orange's leading scorer from this past season. Forward Donnie Freeman announced Tuesday that he is entering the transfer portal.

Freeman has been a major part of Syracuse's attack in the last two seasons, starting 34 out of a possible 37 games for the program. He's a career 15 points per game scorer who also brings in over seven rebounds per game.
It's going to be interesting to see what, if anything, McNamara and Syracuse can do to change Freeman's mind if they want to keep him around. Freeman was a five-star recruit coming out of high school in Washington, D.C.

Freeman is bound to garner interest from major programs across the country, with Kentucky being one possible suitor.
