A potential superstar and first-round prospect could be making himself comfortable at NRG Stadium when he visits the Houston Texans next month.

According to KPRC 2 Sports' Aaron Wilson, Ohio State consensus All-American defensive tackle and top-ranked interior defensive lineman prospect Kayden McDonald has a visit with the Texans ahead of the draft. Per Wilson, the Big Ten Conference Defensive Lineman of the Year and consensus first-round draft target had a formal meeting with the Texans at the NFL scouting combine.

Defensive tackle might be Houston's biggest need entering April, following the signings of four offensive linemen in free agency. While the Texans still need depth in the trenches, finding a long-term answer to pair with All-Pro defensive end Will Anderson Jr. seems to be the most logical plan should they stay at pick No. 28 in the first round.

McDonald, a Texarkana native who grew up in Georgia, should very much be one of the names on the charts. A dominant inside presence, especially in pass-rushing sets, McDonald operates with great leverage and pad level for timing his reps in one-on-one battles. The first-team All-Big Ten Conference selection recorded 65 tackles last season for the Buckeyes with three sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

At 6-foot-2, the 326-pounder seems like the ideal fit for the Texans' defense. A breakout season in Columbus last year catapulted McDonald into a position to be one of the first defensive tackles off the board in April. Multiple mock drafts have featured the Texans selecting McDonald when on the board at No. 28, with several even having him falling to No. 38 on Day 2.

The Texans own eight draft picks in April, including four within the first 70 selections.
