Ceddanne Rafaela, 2B/OF, Red Sox
ADP from 3-10 to 3-16:146
ADP from 3-16 to 3-22: 132.5
Change in ADP: -13.5
Usually, we don’t like targeting players who bat in the lower half of lineups. But Rafaela needs to be on your radar as a late-round option. He’s coming off an impressive spring training with two homers, eight RBI, four steals and a .345 BA in 29 ABs. We know his role is secure in the Red Sox lineup given his Gold Glove from last season. Rafaela also has dual eligibility, which is a plus, and Fenway Park is great for right-handed batters.
Drew Rasmussen, SP, Rays
ADP from 3-10 to 3-16:170.6
ADP from 3-16 to 3-22: 158.7
Change in ADP: -11.9
The Rays tabbed Rasmussen as the Opening Day starter versus the St. Louis Cardinals, which of course is why fantasy managers are starting to take notice. Tampa Bay has a lot of appeal within its rotation, given the move back to Tropicana Field from George M. Steinbrenner Field last season. The park change should be a boost to all the Rays’ starters this season. Rasmussen didn’t have a pristine spring (4.91 ERA, 1.50 WHIP in 14.2 IP) but as long as he stays healthy and doesn’t implode, he should see plenty of innings this season. As the SP45 in terms of ADP, you could do worse than drafting Rasmussen this season.
Kevin McGonigle, SS, Tigers
ADP from 3-10 to 3-16:205.7
ADP from 3-16 to 3-22: 197.2
Change in ADP: -8.5
There’s plenty of hype surrounding MLB.com’s No. 2 overall prospect McGonigle. As of this writing on Monday, Detroit has yet to announce whether or not the 21-year-old will break spring training on the Opening Day roster. He had a good enough spring training with two homers, six RBI and 11 walks to eight strikeouts in 52 plate appearances. Yahoo analyst Fred Zinkie believes McGonigle did enough this spring to buy into the prospect as a fantasy asset. Even if McGonigle starts the season in Triple-A, there’s a decent chance of a call-up at some point early in 2026. He isn’t a bad target late in your draft as a stash to see what happens. If he’s sent down, you can look for other options off the waiver wire. If your league has additional bench slots, you can stash him.
