Florida State has five commitments in the 2027 cycle. However, quarterback remains a position they haven't secured a pledge at the moment.

They're exploring plenty of options, and one of them is four-star prospect Jake Nawrot out of Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was offered a scholarship by FSU back in February, and per Tom Loy of 247Sports, he will take his first visit to the program this coming Thursday on March 26.

"FSU is going to be cool to check out and see it down South. I like Jameis Winston a lot and want to see the culture there," Nawrot said of his upcoming visit.

Last weekend, Nawrot took a visit to see Kentucky. He also has visits set up to see Oregon (March 31), Iowa (April 4), Washington (April 7), and Kansas State (April 9) after his trip to Florida State.

Nawrot's junior campaign at John Hersey High School was stellar. He put up 3,078 yards and 41 touchdowns to just two interceptions while completing 71% of his passes, and he gained 124 yards rushing and eight more scores.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder led the Huskies to an 9-3 record in his first year as a starter and garnered All-State honors for his play. Also, he earned Alpha Dog honors at the Elite 11 in Indianapolis in February.

Nawrot is one of the nation's top recruits. He's listed as the No. 40 overall player and the nation's No. 2 quarterback per the 247Sports composite rankings. Nawrot is also the No. 1 prospect in the state of Illinois.
