The Paladins didn’t have an answer for Reed. Considering UConn was 32-of-65 from the field, his 11 offensive rebounds represent one-third of his team’s misses.

To find the last 30-25 game in the NCAA tournament, you have to go all the way back to Houston’s Elvin Hayes in 1968. The Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer was also the last player to post 27 rebounds in a single March Madness game.
Reed blew away his career high for both points and rebounds in the same game. Before Friday, his previous high marks were in the same game on March 1, 2025, when he posted 24 points and 18 rebounds in a Big East tournament win over Providence.
