Packers GM attends Georgia pro day: 4 top draft prospects to know

· Yahoo Sports

Since 2021, Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst has drafted five Georgia Bulldogs, including three in the first round. The only franchise to draft more Bulldogs in that span is the Philadelphia Eagles.

On Wednesday, the Bulldogs held their Pro Day in Athens and Gutekunst was in attendance to get a close look at the next wave of Bulldog prospects ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.

All five of the Bulldogs players that Green Bay's general manager has drafted played on the defensive side of the ball. If Gutekunst takes a Bulldog during the 2026 NFL Draft, there is a strong chance it could be an offensive prospect. As always though, the Bulldogs have a pair of defensive prospects who Gutekunst could target.

Let's dive into some of the prospects who could be on Green Bay's radar with quotes from Kirby Smart's media availability.

Christen Miller, DT

If Miller is still on the board when the Packers are on the clock with the 52nd overall pick, it be shocking if he wasn't the pick. The Georgia defensive tackle is a rugged run defender, fully capable of clogging up running lanes. With his initial burst off the line of scrimmage and power, Miller has the ability to collapse the pocket.

Smart on Miller:

"C-Mill's fun. He's always got a big smile on his face. He loves football. I think that's the overarching theme of a lot of teams have been he's very talkative in meetings. He's got a big personality, and I think it comes natural to him. He's been a great asset for us."

Daylen Everette, CB

Everette ran a 4.38 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine and posted a 37.50-inch vertical. Georgia cornerback is light-footed and stays locked into the hip of the wide receiver. He shows good route awareness and uses his length to tighten windows. With the Packers in need of cornerback help, Everette could be a target in the fourth round.

Smart on Everette:

"Daylen's been a good player for us for a long time. He played his best in his biggest games. He's a leader...He's going to make a good pro for somebody."

Oscar Delp, TE

The Georgia tight end didn't get to work out at the NFL Scouting Combine due to a hairline fracture in his foot. Delp put on a show. Several people I spoke to who were in attendance said he ran the 40-yard dash in the 4.44-4.48 range. He also recorded a 38-inch vertical and a 10-00 broad jump.

It's no shock that Delp ran fast. He has the burst to pull away from linebackers and be a YAC threat with the ball in his hands.

As the Packers look for depth at tight end and a long-term running mate for Tucker Kraft, Delp checks the boxes with his size, athleticism and effort as a blocker.

Smart on Delp:

"He ran really fast times...I'm just happy he's healthy enough to do it, because he's been probably one of our most durable players in terms of not having injuries."

Noah Thomas, WR

Thomas is a size, speed threat at wide receiver. The Texas A&M transfer finished his lone season at Georgia with 16 receptions for 254 yards and four touchdowns. He's a detailed route runner. If you want a Day 3 Packers wide receiver, Thomas fits the bill.
