N&N: Venezuela wins WBC championship

The Guardians won a back-and-forth game 8-6 last night. More about that in a minute.

Over in the WBC, the Venezuelans defeated the US 3-2. If I added the quip here that I used last week, the complaint would be “that already happened months ago!!”

A Wilyer Abreu moonshot gave VEN a 2-0 lead in the top of the 5th. It would stay 2-0 for a while.

Bryce Harper evened up the score 2-2 with a 2-run dinger in the bottom of the 8th. But the tie was short-lived as Eugenio Suarez doubled in the winning run in the 9th.

It hurts me to link to a Yankee website, but here is one perspective that is worth thinking about.
