After overturning the first-leg deficit with a 3-0 win in normal time, the Lions sealed qualification with a 5-0 victory in extra time, reaching the quarter-finals.

Sporting dominated from the outset, pinning the Norwegian side deep in their own half. Gonçalo Inácio opened the scoring with a header from a Francisco Trincão corner, though the Norwegian side nearly responded, striking the crossbar twice before the break.

The pressure continued in the second half. Pedro Gonçalves made it 2-0 after good work from Luis Suárez, who later added a third from the penalty spot to level the tie on aggregate and force extra time.

With momentum firmly on their side, the Portuguese side finished the job in extra time. Maxi Araújo scored early to complete the turnaround, and Rafael Nel added a late goal to seal an emphatic victory.
