Only 48 hours removed from dropping 51 points (his career-high in a Los Angeles Lakers uniform), Luka Doncic hit a game-winner in OT on Saturday night to down the Denver Nuggets.
Attracting a Denver double-team near the top of the key with time dwindling, Doncic dribbled left and found himself entering into his patented step-back jumper on the baseline, which fell through the next with less than a second left in regulation.

After the game, which was LA's fifth-straight victory, LeBron James had words of praise for his superstar teammate.
"Just a big-time shot by a f---ing generational player," James said, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "He's just a big-time player, man. ... We wanted the last shot. We wanted to put the ball in our guy's hands. ... It's going to be just the first of many game winners like that for him in a Lakers uniform."
Former Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart also came up huge for the Lakers on Saturday, finishing with 21 points, five steals, and a bunch of clutch plays.
But the story of the night was Doncic, who is quietly staying near the top of the MVP race. The 27-year-old is averaging 32.8 points, 8.5 assists, and 8.0 rebounds this season for a team that is third in the Western Conference.
