Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, former Steelers fullback/tight end Connor Heyward has agreed to a two-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders worth up to $5.5 million with $2 million guaranteed.

Connor Heyward joined the Steelers as a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Michigan State.

Heyward filled a number of roles for the Steelers over his career, playing over 60% of special teams snaps in three of his four years in Pittsburgh. He was a fullback, tight end, and gadget player who served as the ball-carrier in the team’s tush push plays under then-offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.

Over his career, Heyward has 44 catches for 379 yards, 18 rush attempts for 70 yards and 13 first downs, 28 total tackles, one pass attempt, and five total touchdowns.

After cutting Jonnu Smith and letting Heyward walk, the Steelers are down two of their four rostered tight ends from the 2025 season.
