During his press conference, Concepcion revealed that he's been following the Bills since he was a kid because they're his father's favorite team.
Concepcion's dad, Kevin, was a star football player at East High School in Rochester, New York, who graduated in 2001 before attending the University at Buffalo. While Kevin showcased pro potential at cornerback, legal troubles and a failed drug test derailed his plans, however, and his collegiate career ended by 2003.
Kevin's first of four children, KC, was born in Rochester in 2004 (moved to Charlotte, NC five years later). While Kevin returned years later to the game of football to excel in indoor leagues, his oldest child now has the chance to excel in the pros.
KC Concepcion's first two college years were spent at NC State (2023-2024). The six-foot, 196-pound WR put up 839 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a freshman, as well as an impressive 320 rushing yards at 7.8 yards per carry. He dipped to just 496 combined yards in 2024 while playing in only one less game.
A transfer to the SEC did wonders for Concepcion in 2025. Last year at Texas A&M, hecorded 919 receiving yards (career-high) and nine touchdowns, while averaging 70.7 yards per game (career-high).
Currently, the Bills' WR depth chart has lots of question marks aside from Khalil Shakir. Concepcion was one of five wide receivers that the Bills met with at the combine, and he could very well be in play at pick 26.
NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein compared Concepcion's game to the likes of former Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin, highlighting the strengths of his game like route-running, release, and run after the catch.
While lacking top-end "burner" speed, Concepcion contains many values that make a receiver good. Concepcion displayed his effortless receiving instincts at the combine, and his versatility and skills have him on the radar of general manager Brandon Beane, head coach Joe Brady, and company.
