Big man Adem Bona, in his second season in the league, is looking to help the Sixers get ready for the playoffs for the final stretch of the season.

"I mean, till the end of the season, every game is important," Bona said at shootaround on Thursday morning. "Obviously, we want a great placing for ourselves, so we go out there and win as much as possible. It doesn't matter who we’re playing or what's at stake. We just go out there and try to win every single game."

Bona went through a tough rookie season in 2024-25 as he was part of a team that finished 24-58 in the midst of all of the injuries decimating the roster. Therefore, the second-year man from UCLA is looking to experience his first run into the playoffs and have some fun in the process.

"My mindset is like going in there, ramping up for the playoffs," he added. "Do what the team needs me to do. Go out there and get myself ready. This will be my first playoffs. So, I'm obviously really excited for that, but at the same time prepare myself with these 23 games left for those games."

The good news for Bona is that he is on a team that features a ton of veterans he can lean on. The Sixers have so much playoff experience from Joel Embiid to Paul George to Andre Drummond, and even Tyrese Maxey. Those guys can tell Bona all about the playoffs and help him through that next phase in the league.

"A lot of people talk about the playoffs, like, ‘Oh, the playoffs are big.’ And like, how intense the game is going to be, how close the games are going to be called," he finished. "So I just try to, like, use these games to get myself ready to speak to my teammates that they talk about playoff a lot. So it's just really exciting for me. Right now, I'm just trying to do the right stuff now that's going to translate to the playoff games."
