Florida softball vs Texas Tech Game 3 weather delay: Updates, new start time

Florida softball’s winner-take-all super regional matchup against Texas Tech has entered a lightning delay.

The Gators had just taken a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the first inning and had a runner on second base with two outs when the game was delayed.
Texas Tech had just begun a pitching change after starter Kaitlyn Terry had surrendered four runs. Nijaree Canady was warming up in relief when the game was called for a delay.
The delay will last 30 minutes but restarts after each lightning strike within a 10-mile radius.
According to Weather Channel, rain is expected in the area around 2 p.m.
The winner of the game will advance to win the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City and face either Oklahoma or Mississippi State.
